PS+ Essential Offerings for June 2024
Hello there! It happened a little earlier this month, but here we go again. Sony has revealed the PS+ essential offerings for June 2024. The following games will be available to download from Tuesday, June 4th, around midday local time.
This month, we have an action platformer, a pro wrestling grapple fest, and a brawler – it’s like a retro-inspired month. Let’s break them down:
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake
Released last year, this game takes the lovable sponge and best mate Patrick across the multiverse in the hopes of saving Bikini Bottom. With about seven hours needed to complete the story and another two or three to find all the collectibles and extras, nostalgia is the main draw for playing this game.
Average review score: 70 out of 100.
AEW Fight Forever
This game is the first attempt in years for a rival company to take on WWE’s winning formula. Filled with arcade-style matches and featuring all the bravado of AEW, including an exploding barbed wire death match, it offers various match types and introduces mini-games and a story campaign.
Reviewers expected more from this game with an average score of 60 out of 100.
Streets of Rage 4
This arcade beat ’em up game hearkens back to the arcades of the 1980s and home consoles of the ’90s. With a super simple structure, you’ll beat up some goons, face bosses, and continue the story involving Mr. X’s twin daughters corrupting everything good.
