First on the list is Tekken 8, releasing on January 26th. It’s called Tekken 8 for a reason. With Eight titles in this long-standing series, the history speaks to the incredible quality throughout. Set half a year after Tekken 7, Tekken 8’s story begins by throwing fighters into chaos, trashing scenes in a 3D fighting game that allows you to break things on stage, reminiscent of a Jackie Chan flick.
The director of Tekken 8 aims to establish the game for its aggression. The game encourages players to slam down energy drinks and hit all the buttons at once, creating an unpredictable gameplay experience. The returning rage system and the new heat system add depth to the combat mechanics, allowing for strategic plays and comebacks.
The patented Claude Van Dam fighting system ensures a flow of violence and counterattacks. The game promises a return to the tried-and-true 3D fighter format, offering a diverse set of fighters and gameplay styles.
