RAPTORS 105-100 MAVERICKS (NBA 2022-23 REGULAR SEASON POST-GAME REVIEW)

NBA Review: Raptors Triumph Against Mavericks

Hello there everybody! I am the c-h-a-l-l and welcome to another NBA review. Now, this one I like to call DHS – Double Header Sunday. We have another review coming this evening here in the UK. Obviously, it’ll be sort of morning/afternoon in the US. But here in the UK, this evening, we’ve got another review coming up from the Los Angeles Lakers win against the San Antonio Spurs on the road. But this one focuses on the Raptors winning at home against Dallas.

The final score was 100 to 105 in favor of the Raptors. So, the Raptors win by five points. Going into this game, both teams did not want to lose this game because the Raptors and the Mavericks didn’t want to lose three in a row. They were on the verge of three consecutive losses. One of those has now accomplished three consecutive losses without a win, and it is obviously the Dallas Mavericks.

The game itself, do I think the Raptors deserve to win? Absolutely. Do I think it should have been more? I think with a healthier Raptor squad, they would have won by a lot more points if they’d performed like that and if Dallas performed like that as well.

One of the main things about Dallas’s performance last night was Luka Doncic. I think the Raptors may have just given every other team in the NBA the tactic to cancel out Luka Doncic as much as possible, and that is double-teaming him. Keep him quiet, and the rest of it is just history, just clockwork.

That’s one of the main things I saw last night from Toronto. They doubled up on Luka Doncic. And for me, one of the main things I saw with Dallas was the fact that Doncic didn’t feel like the standout performer. He wasn’t performing on his own. I mean, a bit of a spoiler – I mean, LeBron in that second quarter in the Lakers Spurs game was quite selfish as a performer, but he had that season high with 39 points, that outstanding MVP type performance in the second half. Doncic didn’t have that, and I think the way they were playing with Doncic sort of canceled out.

NBA Review: Raptors vs. Mavericks Match Analysis

Hello there everybody! I am the c-h-a-l-l and welcome to another NBA review. Today we dive into the thrilling matchup between the Toronto Raptors and the Dallas Mavericks. Let’s break down the key highlights and performances from this exciting game.

Double Header Sunday

On this Double Header Sunday, the Raptors secured a home victory against the Mavericks with a final score of 105-100. The Raptors claimed a well-deserved win by a five-point margin. Both teams were determined not to suffer a third consecutive loss, making this game especially crucial.

Raptors’ Dominant Performance

The Raptors displayed a strong performance, showcasing their prowess on the court. Despite facing a resilient Mavericks team, the Raptors managed to outshine their opponents. With a healthier squad, the Raptors could have potentially secured a more significant lead.

Key Strategy Against Luka Doncic

One of the standout tactics of the game was the Raptors’ approach to defending Luka Doncic. By employing a double-team strategy on Doncic, the Raptors effectively neutralized his impact on the game. This strategic move could be influential for other teams facing the Mavericks in the future.

Player Performances

While Doncic didn’t deliver a standout individual performance like some other notable players, such as LeBron James, his teamwork with fellow Mavericks players was commendable. The Raptors’ defensive strategy successfully disrupted Doncic’s usual dominance on the court.
