New Open World Games of 2024 and Beyond
Open World Games continue to dominate popularity contests, their scale, promise of limitless freedom, exploration, immersiveness, and detail are all factors that are tougher to achieve in more linear experiences. 2024 is set to be another great year for open world games, but there’s a handful of big ones coming through in 2025 and beyond that are worthy of hype too.
Grand Theft Auto 6
Now we’ve had an official glimpse of Grand Theft Auto’s return to Vice City, there’s good reason for fans to get excited even if the release of GTA’s 6th installment is still a ways away. It’s expected Rockstar will raise creative and cultural benchmarks once again with a sun-soaked neon dubbed City that they describe as the biggest and most immersive evolution of GTA yet coming in 2025.
